About the Learnership
The SPAR Supply Chain Management Learnership offers unemployed South Africans the chance to get hands-on workplace training and a nationally recognised qualification while gaining valuable experience in one of the country’s largest retail distribution operations. Learners will spend 12 months at the SPAR North Rand Distribution Centre, where they will be trained in key supply chain and logistics processes that keep products moving from suppliers to store shelves.
This programme is ideal for young people interested in logistics, inventory control, warehouse operations, distribution planning, and supply chain coordination within the retail and wholesale industries.

What You’ll Learn
As a Supply Chain Management learner, you will:
Understand end-to-end supply chain operations
Learn inventory and stock control
Gain exposure to warehouse processes and distribution planning.
Develop logistics and coordination skills
Work closely with experienced professionals in a real distribution environment.
Upon completion, learners receive a National Certificate: Supply Chain Management (NQF Level 5) — a qualification valued across the supply chain and logistics sector.
