HANDYMAN POSITION AT RETIREMENT ESTATES IN KRUGERSDORP AVAILABLE FROM 1 APRIL 2022
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Building maintenance: Includes roofs and structures .
2. Inspection of services such as water reticulation, stormwater, sewage and drains
3. Inspection of electrical fence.
4. Manage team of five assistants, including discipline and control, ensure adherence to Health and Safety Regulations.
5. Stocktaking and stock control and management of workshop.
6. Control and management of paint programme.
7. Administrative duties: recordkeeping of all repairs, invoicing of residents, plan and administer leave of assistants and painters, workplace control and arrangement.
8. Control of Trees and weeds .
9. After hour callouts for two weeks at a time, according to a roster. Must live within 20 minute drive from Rangeview, Krugersdorp.
10. Inspect & maintain storm water drainage system.
11. Roads : maintenance and painting of road signs & road markings and do small paving repairs.
12. Brick laying and welding.
REQUIREMENTS
Matric
Code 8 drivers licence
A minimum of 10 years working experience in a similar role
Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, alarm systems Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment
No criminal record
SKILLS REQUIRED
Good communication skills in Afrikaans and English Hardworking person with strong technical knowledge and skills. Must be able to communicate with older persons and have patience with them. Ability to organise work schedules. Ability to work in a team
