Requirements :

• Grade 10-12 or equivalent Qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as Staff Nurse. Registration with SANC as Enrolled Nurse and proof of current registration. No experience required after registration with SANC as Enrolled Nurse.

Duties :

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (Physical care). Measure, interpret and record vital signs. Operate all relevant apparatus and equipment. Provide basic Nursing care patient safety. Implement infection control practices and proper medical waste management. Maintain ethical standards. Assist professional nurse with clinical procedures and in an emergency. Compulsory shift work and flexibility. Give health education to patients and families. Perform any other delegated duties within their scope of Nursing practice. Maintenance of professional growth, ethical standards and self-development. Must be prepared to work in allocated area due to service demands and work shifts as per allocation; this includes nightshift, weekends and public holidays.
