What You Will Be Doing Every Day:
As a General Worker in the warehouse, your duties will include many hands-on tasks. Below is a clear breakdown of what the job involves:
Cleaning and Housekeeping Duties
Cleaning the warehouse regularly
Emptying bins and removing empty boxes from aisles
Destroying empty boxes and placing them in the outside bin
Keeping the warehouse clean and safe at all times
A clean warehouse is very important for safety and smooth operations.
Picking, Packing and Checking Orders
Picking customer and branch orders according to instructions
Checking that all items match the picking ticket or invoice
Making sure quantities are correct
Signing off picking and checking tickets properly
Recording the date and time when tasks are completed
Assisting with packing orders when needed
Wrapping pallets for shipment
Accuracy is very important in this role. You must pay attention to detail so customers receive the correct products.
Stock Handling and Warehouse Support
Assisting with checking incoming stock
Packing received shipments onto shelves
Offloading container shipments
Helping with stock takes and cycle counts
Assisting with repackaging old or damaged stock
Helping in the assembly department when required
You may also be asked to perform other reasonable tasks given by management to help the company reach its goals.
Requirements:

Experience
At least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment
